Day 1        Sunday, June 24th

Northbound from Victoria by coach we’ll be stopping at view points and local favourites along route including a visit at Coombs.  The goats grazing on the Country Market roof are always fun to see with lots of little shops to hunt for the perfect west coast treasure. Next, we’ll head to Port Alberni for an overnight visit, time to explore quaint shops and this seaside village at your leisure. Port Alberni is the gateway to the island’s west coast.

Day 2  Monday,  June 25th          

We are up bright and early all aboard the morning sail to experience the spectacular west coast scenery on the M.V. Frances Barkley- a real working freighter ship with stops at remote villages along route to drop cargo and pick up  locals. After docking in Ucluelet  our bus  meets us here to continue on with our exploration of the area, including a stroll at your pace at the historical Amphitrite Lighthouse. Once again on the road we drive towards Tofino, stopping for a visit at the world renowned Long Beach. We stay two comfortable nights at the Tin Wis Resort. The setting of this property is stunning whether you choose to enjoy the panoramic view from your room or get out and explore a little. The sunsets are picture perfect!

Day 3 Tuesday, June 26th

Choose one or both of the optional excursions today – a short water-taxi ride to an invigorating morning walk on pristine Meares Island’s Big Tree Trail or a more relaxing boat tour in the afternoon to view bears and other wildlife along the shores at low tide. There will be still be time for browsing the shops afterwards, of course. These are optional tours and if you wish to just linger and relax at your seaside resort that’s always another perfect option!

Day 4 Wednesday, June 27th

The next day’s highlight is an ecotour to the Botanical Gardens and mudflats in Tofino with a another visit to Long Beach on our way to Parksville, you will be inspired by the wondrous display of 800-year-old trees of Cathedral Grove – the biggest is over nine metres in circumference! We’ll be ready to put up our feet and relax at the Beachfront Resort where we overnight in Parksville, home to Canada’s top 3 beautiful beaches.  Hunt for sand dollars, build sandcastles or wade through the West Coast’s warmest tide pools.

Day 5 Thursday, June 28 th

Before your tour ends back in Victoria, we stop for a late lunch at Cowichan Bay’s Rock Cod Café and take a little time to explore the quaint seaside village’s shops and waterfront of fishing boats, floating homes, piers and wharves.
